Standards
Standard I: Teachers demonstrate leadership
a. Teachers lead in their classrooms.
I take responsibility for the progress of all students to ensure their success in later grades. I use variety of data resources to organize, plan, and set goals that meet the need of the students in the class. I establish a safe and orderly environment and create a classroom culture that empower students to collaborate.
b. Teachers lead the teaching profession.
Using the creative curriculum teaching strategies to observe my students and document their progress. I advocate for positive changes affecting students learning and participate in developing policies to improve education and promote high quality early childhood education for my students.

Standard II: Teachers establish a respectful environment for a diverse population of students
a.Teacher embrace diversity in the school in the school community and in the world:
I demonstrate awareness of the diversity of students in the classroom and promote a deep understanding of culture through the integration of culturally sensitive materials and ideas through the curriculum. We celebrated our diversity in the month of March with the students and their families.
c. Teachers treat children as individuals:
I treat my children with respect and dignity. In return students learn to respect each other which help them form a healthy relationship with others and allow them to be cooperative individuals.

Standard III: Teachers know the content they teach

I recognize the importance of integrating literacy and early math in the curriculum develop and apply it according to NC Foundations for Early Learning and Development (http://ncchildcare.nc.gov/pdf_forms/nc_foundations.pdf)
b. Teachers know the content appropriate to their teaching specialty:
I demonstrate an appropriate level of content knowledge in the early childhood education. I organize lesson plans into monthly themes according to documentation and observation along with the interest of the students. Thematic learning foster experiential learning through critical reasoning such as group inschool activities, display projects, and field trips etc.

Standard IV: Teachers facilitate learning for their children
a. Teachers use a variety of instructional methods:
I understand the developmental levels of my students and the influence of their culture and background. I recognize the need to differentiate instruction. I review and adapt resources to address weekness and strength of my students. For example, hands on learning, working in groups, and using technology are some of the effective teaching mothods.
f. Teachers help students work in teams and develop leadership qualities:
I provide opportunities of cooperation, collaboration, and leadership. I encourage students to take pride in their learning. I organize learning teams in order to help my students define roles, strengthen social ties, improve communication and problem solving skills.
I understand the developmental levels of my students and the influence of their culture and background. I recognize the need to differentiate instruction.
